almost like being {home}

i ended up working part of last week
in the same north cackalackey town
where the husband is stationed.

of course,
the town is still devoid of husband,
but i got as close to him as i could:
i borrowed his bed.

see, before he deployed,
husband moved most of his belongings into storage
and kept just the essentials
at his sister's home in the area.
and she graciously let me stay over last night.

and is it weird that i was excited
 to see his {stuff}?

pretty sure that under any other circumstances,
this would be called
"stalking."

luckily, since we're married,
it's just called:
i miss you, babe.

Aww! I feel the same way. We moved after my husband deployed and I haven't unpacked any of his stuff. So when I miss him, I'll open his closet and look and go through his things. It gives me a sense of him being home!

It's not weird you're excited to his stuff :) I'd be excited too... it's as close as you'll get to seeing him until he gets home.

Hi Bethany,
I completely understand why you were excited to see your husband's "stuff", it's called "LOVE" and "MISSING HIM".
I have two nephews in the US Military, my oldest sister lives in Oregon and the rest of us live in Canada. My oldest nephew has been a chaplain in the army for several years now, he did a stint in Iraq and Afghanistan, he's in Texas somewhere now. My younger nephew is in boot camp at the moment. All that to say that I'm sure both of my nephew's wives do the exact same thing when they see their hubby's "stuff".
It is very nice to meet you, I'll be back!
Take care, I'm sending love and prayers your way.
Hugs, Cindy

Aww, I felt the same way, but with the mister's family. When he was gone and they came to visit, it just made me miss him even more, but just being near them made me feel closer to him :)

I agree that it's not weird at all! It's really sweet, actually. I'd be the exact same way!
