we lost our little ellie girl yesterday.

it was heartbreaking

and incredibly difficult,

but it was time.

she was desperately sick.

it was so strange waking up without her this morning.

she snuggled to sleep with me every night for years.

but I felt a small comfort

knowing that wherever she is,
she’s no longer in pain.

goodbye, sweet girl.
you will be so missed.
